Lakeside Gateway to the Hill Country
Marble Falls is the largest town in Burnet County and the most visited destination in the Highland Lakes region — and once you arrive, it’s easy to see why. Positioned right on the Colorado River, with Lake Marble Falls shimmering at its edge and Main Street just steps from the water, this is a town built for wandering.
You might come for a weekend and find yourself already planning the next trip before you’ve even left. There’s the legendary Blue Bonnet Cafe, open since 1929 and still worth the line out the door. There’s Flat Creek Estate, pouring award-winning Texas wine on a hilltop overlooking the Hill Country. There are drag boats doing 200 mph on the lake in summer, a mile-long Walkway of Lights along the waterfront every Christmas, and a downtown art scene that surprises first-time visitors every time. Marble Falls doesn’t try to be anything it’s not — it just happens to be exactly what you’re looking for.

Get Outside
Marble Falls is your gateway to lakes, caves, wineries, and wide-open skies.
Lake Marble Falls
Lake Marble Falls sits right at the edge of downtown, making it one of the most accessible lakes in the entire Highland Lakes chain. Lakeside Park and Johnson Park both offer waterfront access, sandy beaches, swimming areas, picnic tables, and boat launches — no long drive required. Rent a pontoon for the afternoon, drop in a kayak, or just find a bench and watch the water. The lake is calm, quiet, and exactly what a weekend is supposed to feel like.

Hidden Falls Adventure Park
One of the most unique outdoor destinations in the Texas Hill Country. Spread across 3,000 rugged acres, it’s a designated off-road paradise with miles of trails for ATVs, dirt bikes, UTVs, and off-road vehicles of all kinds. Copperhead Creek Shooting Club operates 18 ranges inside the park. The terrain is dramatic, the trails are well-maintained, and the experience is unlike anything else within 100 miles of Austin.

Balcones Canyonlands
About 20 miles east of Marble Falls, Balcones Canyonlands National Wildlife Refuge protects more than 26,000 acres of limestone canyons, cedar thickets, and spring-fed creek habitat — home to two endangered songbirds found nowhere else on Earth. With over nine miles of wildlife watching and nature trails, it’s an exceptional destination for birders, hikers, and anyone who wants to experience the Texas Hill Country without a crowd.

Sweet Berry Farm
In spring, it’s strawberries and tulips you can pick yourself. In summer, peaches and sunflowers. Come fall, the whole farm transforms into a pumpkin patch with a 4-acre corn maze, hayrides, a petting zoo, and live music weekends. The farm sits just north of Marble Falls on FM 1980 and has been a Highland Lakes institution for families, couples, and anyone who appreciates something you can pick out of the ground.
