Seclusion, nature, eclectic décor at Creekside Camp & Cabins

Creekside Camp & Cabins is secluded but close to town, with a whimsical collection of lodging units set near a peaceful, wooded creek. Here those contradictions work, making it a good fit for a couple’s getaway, family weekend, reunion, wedding, or any group get-together.

This Burnet County lodging is on the banks of Hamilton Creek only 4 miles east of Marble Falls, convenient for a dinner outing or last-minute grocery run.

Each lodging unit sports a different theme and unique décor reflected in the names: Firehouse Cabin, Cedar House, and Victorian Cottage. No two are alike. You can even stay in a refurbished vintage RV.

If you want to park your group in one place, book the Grand View House. It’s got five bedrooms, 2½ baths, a library, and a dining room that seats 14. All accommodations have kitchens or kitchenettes, outdoor grills, fire pits, and patio furniture.

For an even larger group, book the entire property. Creekside can handle up to 56 overnight guests. The scenic surroundings and beautiful outdoor pavilion make it a prime wedding venue. Creekside can help with your event planning, suggesting caterers, florists, and photographers in the area.

Spend your leisure time fishing at Hamilton Creek, jumping in for a swim or just sinking into a lawn chair by the water to look for wildlife and savor the wooded tranquility. The more active can paddle a canoe. The property has two and guests can check them out at no charge. Younger guests get their own treehouse as a playspace.

A wealth of options is available for side trips. Balcones Canyonlands National Wildlife Refuge is just 20 miles east, and Hidden Falls Adventure Park is 8 miles east. Pick berries, vegetables, and flowers in season at Sweet Berry Farm, eight miles west. Here in the Highland Lakes, you can point your car in any direction and quickly find a place of interest.

Creekside Camp & Cabins offers guests a change of pace (and place) and a one-of-a-kind overnight experience. It’s where to stay in Burnet County.
