Peak outdoor adventure at Reveille Peak Ranch

The rugged-yet-beautiful Reveille Peak Ranch spans 1,300 acres in Burnet County—plenty of space for a plethora of outdoor activities.

The Lake Buchanan-area adventure park, which is also a working cattle ranch, is open to the public for camping, hiking, mountain biking, paddling and swimming on a private lake, horseback riding, motorbiking, shooting, rock climbing, and bouldering. It’s also a popular venue for obstacle runs, tactical training events, and music festivals. Guests will want to keep a camera handy, as the ranch is home to a variety of feathered, furred, and scaled wildlife and affords incredible views of the lakes and hills.

Find out just how big and bright the stars are at night while camping at RPR. The ranch has eight RV spots with electricity and water, 15 luxury mini-cabins, over a dozen tent sites, and primitive camping. Or, just pay for the day for a shorter adventure.

Reveille Peak Ranch is the ideal destination for nature lovers and active outdoor enthusiasts. Hikers and trail runners will delight in the opportunity to trek the ranch’s 60-plus miles of trails—some more challenging than others. The landscape is iconic Texas Hill Country, but the dazzling views of the Highland Lakes are scene stealers and worth the climb. Mountain bikers have the run of RPR’s trails and will find them suitable for all skill levels. Bouldering and rock climbing opportunities abound but must be prearranged and guided. Horseback riding tours are offered October through May via Thunder Horse Outfitters. Motorcycle riding adventures and shooting sports are available and need to be prearranged. Guests are welcome to bring fishing gear, kayaks, paddleboards, canoes, life jackets, and tubes to partake in water recreation.

Reveille Peak Ranch is located at 105 County Road 114 in Burnet, Texas, and open year-round but does occasionally close for special events. Visit its website for information and reservations.
