Holiday events in Burnet County will keep you and your family in the spirit of the season throughout November and into December. Members of the Austin Astronomical Society share their high-powered telescopes and knowledge about the night sky. Bring chairs, blankets, and binoculars (if you have them). Program is free with park entrance fee.
3-7 p.m. November 8 and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. November 9.
Downtown Marble Falls
A new installment of sculptures will be dedicated. Also features an art show and sale, a stone carving demonstration, beer, wine, and live music. Free admission.
November 14-16
Reveille Peak Ranch

A family-friendly event, UTOPiAfest features food, beverages, workshops, and activities. Live music lineup includes Shakey Graves, Brownout, Son Volt, and many more.
November 22-January 1
Lakeside Park along Lake Marble Falls
The season kicks off in Marble Falls with a Christmas Light-Up Parade beginning at 5:30 p.m. Friday, November 22. After that, Walkway of Lights will be open 6-10 p.m. daily through January 1. Santa and his elves visit every weekend and on Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve.

Re-enactors bring back the spirit of Christmas past. The fort will be decked out in lights and decorations, including luminaries lighting the pathways. Admission and parking are free.
6-9 p.m. December 6-8 and 13-15

Burnet
A large replica of Bethlehem at the time of Christ’s birth comes alive with members of First Baptist Church of Burnet re-enacting Biblical times. Includes street vendors, craftspeople, shepherds, and Mary, Joseph, and baby Jesus. This popular event fills up quickly, so come early. But don’t worry: The line is usually fast-moving. Admission is free, but donations are appreciated.
