Meet Blair Manning, the new Burnet County Tourism director
Hi, I’m Blair! I have lived in Burnet for nine years and have been employed with the county for almost three years. At the end of January, I moved into the Tourism & Marketing Director position. I have two boys, ages 8 and 9. When we aren’t busy with sports, we love to go outside and explore, which is easy to do in Burnet County.
It’s that aspect of Burnet County that I love most: all the many different avenues of adventure we have to offer. Whether you are looking for an adrenaline rush or a low-key getaway, whether you want to mountain bike down a black diamond trail or bask in breathtaking views while sipping wine, you are sure to find something to suit you and your whole family.
Since taking on my new role as tourism director, I have been busy getting to know property owners, touring venues and attractions, meeting with chambers and other organizations, preparing our historic jail for its public debut as a visitors center and museum, and finding my own family’s adventures right here in Burnet County!
This past month, I was able to visit so many great properties — each one its own little slice of paradise. I’d love to visit you, too, get to know more about you and your place, talk ideas and future goals, and highlight your property on Facebook and/or Instagram.
Looking ahead into next month, we are gearing up for our Geiger Media Tour. I’ll have more to report on that once it takes place. There is also a wedding expo right around the corner — a chance for Burnet County Tourism to highlight the venues and vendors in our area. And then, of course, the beloved Bluebonnet Festival on April 8-10 in Burnet and Paint the Town and Sculpture on Main on April 24-30 in Marble Falls!
I am so excited about all the festivity that spring brings, especially in our county, where the opportunities are endless.
