OATMEAL FESTIVAL

Oatmeal and Bertram
The fun begins with a barbecue dinner, live music, and Miss Oatmeal pageant in Oatmeal. Saturday is the big day in Bertram, where visitors will experience a grand parade, pet parade, oatmeal bake-off, 3.3-kilometer Run for your Oats fun run, barbecue plate fundraiser, washers tournament, kids’ activities, vendors, live music and an evening street dance featuring Curtis Grimes. During the parade, a plane flies overhead dropping oatmeal over people lining the route as a grand finale.

Registration begins at 7:30 a.m., walk-through at 8:30 a.m.
Events are open and free to spectators. This is the second of five events, four of which are in Burnet.
The next Burnet events are on Nov. 12 and Dec. 3. The third of the five events will be Oct. 8 in Hamilton. Search for “Iron Horse Obstacle Series” on Facebook for details.
