DESCRIPTION:Join us for a fun-filled and all-inclusive day with a variety of accessible activities.\nMeet us in Central Park at 10 am and learn how Texas State Parks are here for everyone.\nAdaptive activities will include: \nPaddling: We will have a kayak transfer chair to help you get on the water and boat rental fees will be waived during this event. \nBirding: Learn to bird by sight and sound with an amazing park volunteer. \nFishing: The TPWD derby pond will be set up and stocked with over 200 catfish. Anglers will be able to keep their catches up to a limit\, TBD. Bring an ice chest or cooler to take your fish home to eat!!! A local game warden will be on site to answer your hunting and fishing questions. There will be adaptive fishing equipment available for use. \nEducational Exhibits: Volunteers will host a variety of fun and educational programs and exhibits. \nArchery: Archery instructors will guide you through this fun activity taking aim at various targets. Adaptive archery equipment is available. \nAir rifles: Take aim on our very own air rifle range\nGRIT chair: Try your skill on our obstacle course built for the day using our all-terrain wheelchairs.\nStar Party: Stay until dark to enjoy the beautiful stars with help from our friends from the Austin Astronomical Society. \nDay use park admission is free for this special event. No fee modifications will occur for campsite or cabin reservations

DESCRIPTION:The Hill Country Pistoleros and The Lonestar Gunslingers host the 2026 Texas State Championship Fast Draw Event.\nMarch 27-29\, 2026\nBurnet County Fairgrounds\nAdmission is free for spectators. \nWatch Old West gunslingers compete for the title of the fastest draw. The Cowboy Fast Draw Association (CFDA) is the largest organization devoted to the Sport of Fast Draw to ever exist. In the era of 1873 through the 1890’s\, the Romance and Legend of the American West was unlike any other culture in the world; this time period is the premise for Cowboy Fast Draw. We use the best equipment available of the 1800’s: single action revolvers and center fire cartridges. Our Motto is: Safety First\, Fun Second and Competition Third.
