Celebrate the Fourth on the First in Marble Falls
Get an early start on Independence Day celebrations at Lakeside Park in Marble Falls on Saturday, July 1. For the first time, the city’s annual July 4 event will be held early. It’s still free and includes live music, food vendors, and an amazing fireworks display over Lake Marble Falls.
Bring lawn chairs, blankets, and swimsuits. Lakeside Park Swimming Pool will be open for free from noon to 5 p.m.
Be sure to bring your appetite, too. Food vendors open for business at 5 p.m.
Live music starts at 7 p.m. when the popular seven-piece band Dysfunkshun Junkshun takes the Lakeside Park stage to rock the night with their high-energy mix of Motown, classic rock, R&B, and hip-hop.
The event’s grand finale fireworks show launches from a barge in the middle of Lake Marble Falls at about 9:15 p.m. Stake out a spot on the Lakeside Park beach for the best views. You can watch the show from your boat, too; you just need to anchor your craft by 6 p.m. outside the buoy lines on either side of the fireworks barge.
Whether you come by land or by water, plan to enjoy an early Independence Day in Marble Falls, a town that knows how to celebrate.
Guests can park at Lakeside and Johnson parks and along Lakeside Drive. Overflow parking will be available across the street from the Johnson Park ballfield.
Glass containers are not permitted in Lakeside Park.
