Canyon of the Eagles in Burnet County Open for Tranquility
Canyon of the Eagles nature resort on Lake Buchanan near Burnet remains open during the current pandemic, offering an excellent place to relax and renew your spirits while also helping stop the spread of COVID-19. The resort is one of the top places to stay in the Highland Lakes of Burnet County.
Canyon of the Eagles has implemented all Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines in keeping its facilities sanitary and helping guests practice social distancing and mask wearing when necessary.
During the pandemic, Canyon of the Eagles is limiting its Friday through noon Sunday meals at the Overlook Restaurant to overnight guests and those with reservations. No walk-ins are accepted for the restaurant or any of the weekend programs.
Guided hikes, kayaking, and the Eagle Eye Observatory are all open for day use from noon Sunday through Thursday and for overnight guests exclusively all day Friday through noon Sunday.
Programs include an up-close look at snakes and other local reptiles, crafts, s’mores, a labyrinth, and seasonal Master Naturalist presentations on butterfly migration, hummingbirds, and bugs.
Canyon of the Eagles sits on a hill overlooking Lake Buchanan. Its exquisite restaurant offers a panoramic view of the Hill Country for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, serving Texas cuisine with a Hill Country twist. Produce is locally grown, fresh, and organic.
Sitting on 940 acres, the resort has 14 miles of groomed hiking trails for all levels of experience. Cottages are spread apart, providing seclusion and quiet. Each comes with a wide front porch outfitted with rocking chairs to even better enjoy the solitude and beauty of the Highland Lakes in Burnet County.

Camping and RV hookups are also available.
Included in amenities is a beautiful swimming pool for guests and complimentary Wi-Fi, which is limited. What they do not have is a TV.

Canyon of the Eagles is located at 16942 Ranch Road 2341 about 25 minutes from Burnet. It is 90 minutes northwest of Austin, two hours north of San Antonio, four hours southwest of Dallas, and four hours west of Houston.
